Family Fun....

One of the main reasons for our trip was to visit family. It is pretty rare to have 2 great-great grandmothers still living so we made sure to see both. We were also able to see our cousins Ginny, Brett, Alex and Elizabeth a few times. Erin and I decided to walk to their house since they only live down the street from us, but what I didn't think of was the humid heat. It was so hot...after our fun visit dark clouds came in and Brett drove us home. Good thing, it started to pour rain! Then I would have been sweaty, hot, and wet, yucky.

Cousins are so FUN!!!

We also drove all day to West Virgina to visit with Uncle Bill, his 2 girls and great, great-grandma Wilma and great-grandma Janet (on my dad's side).
I wiggle....

Mawma and Pawpa were out and about....and stopped by for a visit.

Mawma and Pawpa love me!
up, up and away...

Pawpa is so silly...

Mommy's Birthday

It was neat to spend my birthday with my family. The girls took me to see the second Fantastic 4 movie and I was surprised with a Hello Kitty balloon and flowers. Mom and dad also gave me some really nice things from the Disney Store...p.s. thanks for the check. :) Love you.

Cake, cake and more cake

It's been birthday week around here...first there was Father's Day and we had ice cream cake, then my birthday (more ice cream cake), then dad's birthday and we made a UFO cake and finally grandma Janet and grandma Wilma had a cake for dad, baby and me to share. Birthday's are a pretty big deal in my family so Erin was determined to make sure everyone got a card that sings and a balloon. The balloons came in handy and was a great way to entertain Gabriella. With "Ella Bella's" first birthday coming up I thought it would be cool to make her a cake but little did I know I'd go crazy trying to find the right cake pan...my state of mind is better now. But while on my quest we ventured out into downtown P-burg and ended up at the supply store connected to Hallmark and they had the biggest amount of "old stuff" I'd ever seen. That's where I found the little green men made by Wilton dated 1978. The bags were old and the cardboard had faded, so I bought it. I figured that was a good year since it was the year my parents got married. So here's cheers to dad and the vintage spaceman cake.

On on PHS!!!

It's been a while since I last posted so I thought I'd better start blogging...so here we go. I was able to go to my 10 year High School Reunion in Paintsville. "On on PHS.."
About 18 out of 58 came, and I wasn't going to go since Steve couldn't come but then I remembered about one of my really good friends, Wanda. She and I sat together in a lot of our classes senior year. I found her email address and turned out she was happy to go with me...THANK YOU WANDA. If not for her I wouldn't have gone.

Go Rockies!!!

Today Gabriella went to her first baseball game, the Colorado Rockies vs. the Cincinnati Reds.

When I realized our opponent was the Reds it brought back some sweet memories. They were the first team I ever saw play, and it was also cool to watch Ken Griffey Jr. I think I might even have a souvenir from that first game, a little red bat tucked away somewhere at my parents house, maybe I can find it when I go out to visit.

The game went by pretty fast, mostly because I was talking a lot and even though the sky got a bit cloudy it didn't rain. It was the perfect day to see a baseball game. A few times during the game Steve would take Ella Bella for a walk and when he returned one particular time she had transformed into a cute pink Rockies fan. Apparently Steve couldn’t resist and I can’t blame him, it was really cute.

We were able to go to the game with our friends Amy and Ryan. Ryan was able to hold Gabriella for a while, which was great! Lately she doesn’t let anyone other than Steve and I hold her so to see that was a relief. The final score was 4-1. We WIN!
