5 Years...SWEET

How do I love theeeeeeeeee...???
Yes, yes I must be a bit cheesy because today is our 5th Wedding Anniversary!
YEA!!!

Today was a really great day.
After Steve got home from work we got Gabriella ready and headed off to the Rec. Center to swim and burn some calories. After that we went out for dinner...
Funny how time flies, it doesn't seem like it has been five whole years, and the best part is that we still like each other. Steve is so important to me and has made our life here great. I know that he tries really hard to take care of us and does everything he can to make me happy...it gets difficult at times being so far away from family and then I also have a tendency to get homesick, but when that happens he tries to find a way to make it all better.

So to my knight and my hero, I love you...and I did warn anyone who reads this that it would be a very cheesy post.
Enjoy our journey!

Having a Ball

Well...it is pretty late and I'm tooooo sleepy to remember all the wonderful things I was going to say, except it was a great night and we had fun at the Ball.

Steve called me from work last week to ask if I would like to go to a dance for FREE, so of course I said yes...
One of the main highlights of the evening, and I'm taking the liberty of speaking for both of us, was getting to see this eagle up close and personal.

Even better...getting a picture with it.

Here I am with our friend Kim...

Our Adventures in Idaho...

Off we went to Idaho...it was my second time ever to visit the land of potatoes.
Our first stop: PARIS
Steve was telling me that his great-great grandfather was sent by Brigham Young to settle there.
Here is his cabin...

Then we saw the Tabernacle...there was a lot of neat history.

Then we made it to Georgetown...to see Steve's Grandmother Mary.
Look at this cool ball....

We had a nice visit and saw Steve's Aunt too...I got to look at some old photos and learn about the origin of a little wooden chair...
Four Generations...

Fun with the girls...and in the yard

Then it was off to the next house...
Gabriella found a cool cat! and got to play with a cousin

Here are some random pictures...

Family...

We had a long 10 hour drive ahead so we got up early and off we went...
Yeah, look we are in Wyoming

There wasn't too much crying as long as we had the DVD player working...thank goodness!

We made it back all in one piece...home sweet home.

"On the open road"

I think this song tells it best, thanks Goofy..
"Do ya need a break from modern livin'? YES
Do ya long to shed your weary load? YES
If your nerves are raw And your brain is fried just grab a friend and take a ride
Together upon the open road...."

Here we stopped at a rest area in CO...she was so happy to get out of that car seat.

"There's nothin' can upset me
'Cause now we're on our way
Our trusty map will guide us straight and true"

Made it to UTAH!!!

Once in Utah we got together with Steve's family...eating, swimming in the pool (although baby didn't like it very much), and we were able to see some movies at the theater.
We were able to see a bit of campus...it was a very strange feeling to be back...Here is Steve bowling at the WILK....and there is my first ever home away from home... U HALL (I hear it will be torn down soon).

I am a JEDI!!!

We actually did a lot of things in a short amount of time...had pictures taken, saw the Conference Center and the Temple.

Borrowed this picture taken by Steve's sister Rachel, I thought it was a great shot.

I really love this Family Picture
I love my GIRL!!!

Then it was off to Idaho to see the grandparents.
"Every day another new adventure
Every mile another new zip code
And the cares we had are gone for good...
And I'd go with them if I could
I've got no strings on me
I'm feelin' fancy-free
How wonderful to be
On the open road!"
