Thanksgiving...what would it be without drama?

Thanksgiving was great, we had originally planned to go out and eat Brazilian food but then we were invited to a friend's house so we did that and had rice and beans on Friday.
But before all that the story begins on Tuesday night when Ella Bella was acting really tired and a bit clingy.
Wednesday: she didn't sleep well, cried a lot, was even more clingy and had a fever.
So at midnight I went to the store and got her some more medicine.
Thursday: she slept in our bed again, lots of crying, still clingy and fever broke.
But she still didn't seem to feel well...so she either has the Flu or due to the fact that she won't let us come close to her mouth we figured out that her back molars are coming in. During one of her crying spells I took the opportunity to see her teeth and sure enough there are her little teeth trying to push through. Poor baby, I feel so bad for her.
Finally, tonight she seemed to be a bit better, not as much crying and is still sleeping in her crib tonight.
Here are some pictures of our Thanksgiving:

These were taken Thanksgiving night: she liked the mashed potatoes

So like I said tonight was a bit better but she still wanted to be held by me ALL THE TIME, so I thought I'd try something different. Surly she would see me lying on the floor and go to daddy right? Nope. She found me and took advantage of my trick.
I could never say no to my sweet baby!

Oh Christmas Tree, oh Christmas Tree, why?

I guess there really isn't much to tell but I'll try. So back when we were in our apartment we bought a Christmas tree, it was a very nice tree but we underestimated the small area in our apartment set aside for it.

Hence, the tree was big, way too big but it didn't matter and we used it anyway. We didn't really use our dinning room table much anyway. Then we moved into our house happy that we could accommodate our tree...WRONG!

So the tree fit but was still bigger than we wanted so this year Steve promised we could get a new SLIM tree. First we went to K-mart (in the scary part of town, there really aren't too many K-mart's left), the trees were too expensive, then that night we went to Wal-mart and we found one and bought it. Then we realized it wasn't much thinner than the one we already had so I heard Hobby Lobby was having a sale. Once I found the tree I wanted, I bought it and had them hold it so I could immediately return the Wal-mart one. Then I went back to pick up my new one all the while having Ella Bella with me. She really was a good sport. Fast forward to Thanksgiving day: Steve put up tree and part of the pre-lit lights aren't working, so today we take back the tree and guess what? Hobby Lobby has no more trees. I'll I want is a Slim 7 1/2 tree! So Steve took us to Target and there it was...

now we have a tree that fits.
