Part 2 and More Birthday Fun...

Here are more pictures at Gabriella's birthday party.
We are so blessed to have great friends. Thanks for coming out to celebrate with us.

We had a ton of food!

And a ton of Fun!

Since Ella Bella didn't get a chance to blow out any candles, we saved her cake and did it over the weekend.

Cake...so good!

Birthday Fun ! Part 1

Gabriella's birthday started off in the best way...opening a gift. Here she is with her Laura and James. They gave her a beautiful doll.

Here is Ella Bella's beautiful dress made by Steve's Mom.

Here is my little angel singing to her doll.

Thanks to Laura there was yummy cake and cupcakes for the party!
It wouldn't have turned out so great if she hadn't been there to help...thanks Laura!

Ella Bella spent the whole time on the playground. We were able to get her to sit for a few seconds so we could sing and eat cupcakes.

Fun in the Sun...

Last week I tried to water the poor grass and here is Gabriella helping. I mean playing.

A bit of Martha?

Well I tried to make Gabriella's birthday as less stressful as possible, which turned out to be a good thing since we have had to drive my car to the shop three times now. But, all that aside here are some crafty ideas I used for Ella Bella's Polka Dot Party.

I really enjoyed making these cookies on a stick. I also made a bunch with Rice Crispy Treats.

B-day Boy

Happy Birthday Steve!
Overall I'd say his birthday was a big success. Thanks to everyone who wrote Steven a note or email for his special day.
So I guess my domestic skills are improving but as the following pictures show, Betty Crocker lived up to her name..."crock." I got the brilliant idea off the website to make Steve a rocket ship cake. The directions were easy, the template was there, what could go wrong?

Well...let's just say I took some artistic license with my cake.

So that's when I decided to blame it on the ALIENS!

Extra-terrestrials can be pretty sneaky, making cakes go lop-sided, the letters crooked but at least the cake still tasted pretty darn good.

Ella Bella even tried to stop them!

If you look close you can see her bit lip.

Who am I kidding? We love Martians!

Just wait till next year!

July 2nd...A good day!

I had planned to go walking with a friend of mine but that didn't work out, so since I was already set to go I decided to take Gabriella to the park.

She LOVED it! She loved it so much in fact that while she climbed on the giant caterpillar she slipped, hit her face and apparently bit her lip. She whimpered for a second and off she went to tackle the slide...the big kid slide.

It wasn't until later I saw her swollen lip, but that hasn't slowed her down one bit.

At one point she actually stopped (that is a rarity) and started running towards a tree. I didn't know what she was doing or thinking but then I saw it...I cute little bird. She and I spent a few moments looking for it and watching it fly from limb to limb.
