It's (going to be) a girl!

I thought I'd give an update on some goings-on around here. First, the big news: we had the ultrasound yesterday at 20 weeks, and the pictures show that it's a little girl in there!

Well, I have to say that I'm so glad the appointment is over. They take a lot of meticulous measurements, and I admit that I was terrified that they would find something wrong. However, my fears were in vain, as everything looked healthy.

We've avoided buying stuff for quite a while, just because of the uncertainty of it all, but last night I just couldn't help it any more. Here's the goofy stuff I bought:







I know it's silly, but I'm pretty excited. I have to say that I'm a bit relieved...as the oldest of six, four of those being girls, for some reason I feel a bit better prepared for a girl, and I know Meredith does (no boys in her family).

Other than that, life rolls on. I'm putting in new flooring in the walk-in closet today, which seems to be going reasonably well (for one of my projects, at least).
