Hole in My Eye

Well after being back in Colorado for a few days, I figured it was time to document our adventure to KY and share with my friends and family my newest defect.....A hole in my retina. Now that may not sound like anything to you but believe me after working for an Optometrist and being an Optometrist's daughter it scared the Heck out of me. And of course, I not being a big fan of being dilated, why would I? Well I probably should have. What if it gets bigger?
What if fluid gets underneath?
What if?
BUT...after obsessing about it for a week, I have good news "I CAN SEE." I had my eyes dilated again today by my old boss Dr. Jon and he agrees with my dad that I just need to watch it and it is probably a good idea to get my eyes dilated every year.
So to all of you that hate to get your eyes dilated...DO IT, DO IT, you never know.

Okay enough with that...we had a great time in KY. We were able to visit a lot of family and make some wonderful memories. Gabriella met some cousins, her great-grandparents, her two great-great grandmothers...and for the first time her two aunts on my side. Needless to say it was a special time. Oh and I had a brownie sundae to die for...."thanks mom and dad," I wish I had one now. UPDATE: In the process of writing this blog entry Steve ran out to the store to get me stuff so I can make my own brownie sundaes...he is such a Sweetie!!! Okay back to the trip...here are some great pics.
